What does Naujà mean?

Naujà means new in Lithuanian, female version. But for us it's new way of doing fashion, new responsibilities and new values.

What makes Naujà different from other clothing brands?

In our own experience, there is simply too much greenwashing in fashion — vague claims, carefully chosen words, and stories about sustainability that can be difficult to verify.At Naujà, we believe you deserve to know the truth about what you wear: what the fabric is made of, where it comes from, how and where the garment was made, and why we chose it.We don't want to tell you what you want to hear. We want to tell you what we know.Our goal is simple: to make clothes that make you feel stylish, comfortable and good in your own skin.And yes, we care about what comes into contact with your skin.Today, we are becoming increasingly aware of where our fabrics come from, how they are processed and what substances may be used along the way. We believe clothing should be something you can feel good about wearing — not only because it looks beautiful, but because you understand what it is made of.For us, transparency is not a marketing tool. It is the standard.

Is Naujà a sustainable fashion brand?

Absolutely. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do.We choose natural fibres such as linen, cotton and wool, and we do not use synthetic fabrics. For us, choosing natural materials is not just about how a garment looks or feels — it is about being more thoughtful about what we wear and what comes into contact with our skin.We also believe that sustainability goes far beyond the fabric itself. It is about how a garment is made, where it is made, how much is produced, how long it is designed to last, and how honestly all of this is communicated.We produce thoughtfully and in limited quantities, choosing quality over excess and timeless pieces over short-lived trends.We don't believe sustainability should be a buzzword. It should be something you can see, understand and verify.

How should I care for my Naujà garments?

Linen & cotton
We recommend washing all linen and cotton garments at a cold temperature, preferably on a gentle cycle. If a cotton garment has a stubborn stain, a warmer wash may be necessary — but in general, cooler temperatures are kinder to the fabric, the colour and the environment.We strongly recommend never using a tumble dryer. Heat can cause natural fibres to shrink, weaken and lose their original shape over time. Instead, air-dry your garments naturally and reshape them while damp.

Wool sweaters
We recommend dry cleaning your wool sweater only around once a year, unless it genuinely needs more frequent cleaning. For small stains, simply spot-clean the affected area rather than washing the entire garment. 100% wool is naturally breathable and highly resistant to odour, so your sweater can be worn many times between washes. Often, simply airing it out is enough. Dry cleaning might sound costly however this kind of care will make the clothes last 10/15 years and not loose shape.

Wool coats
The same principle applies to wool coats: avoid unnecessary cleaning and treat small stains locally. Airing your coat regularly can help keep it fresh. For a deeper clean, we recommend professional cleaning according to the care label. Treat your clothes gently, wash them less and let the natural qualities of the fibres do their work. The better you care for your clothes, the longer you get to keep them.

Where are Naujà garments made?

All of the garments are made in Lithuania. 

Do you use any synthetic fabrics?

Absolutely not, we are all natural fabrics- cotton, linen and wool. 

How do I choose the right size?

We will give sizing guidance in the product page, however if you are still unsure- do email us at nauja.official@gmail.com and we will answer all of your questions. 

What if I am between sizes?

If you were in between sizes, it’s safe to safe- size up. Do choose the bigger size. 

Are your clothes designed to fit oversized?

Not really, the fit is exactly as shown in the pictures. 

Can I return or exchange an item?

Yes. Return always, the only exception is if it was a custom order- the fit, the colour or the fabric was especially made for the client. 

How long do I have to make a return?

We must receive the item back to our address in 14 days since you have received the parcel. 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do ship internationally to all the countries except for Russia. 

Will I have to pay customs or import duties?

Yes, this responsibility falls to our clients. 

How are Naujà garments packaged?

We take great pride in always looking for solutions to not create additional waste, for this reason we ship our packages in carton boxes which are recyclable.  

Why are some Naujà pieces more expensive than mass-market clothing?

That’s a great question! First of all, we are not mass produced in the Third World countries so our production can’t compete with that. We ensure that our local people are recognised and paid for their craft and skills fairly, the fabrics we choose- are certified and ensured that the quality will not damage our health.
